A September Vegetable Garden – Thank You Martha Stewart!

In the beginning…

Then seasons changed

The kitchen garden

Harvest time began

Then I was left with the knowledge there was less growth time in front of me than behind me. What to do?  Turn to Martha Stewart for her extended season growing calendar. I purchased kale, planted seeds, continued to water and weed and now… A testimony to patience and perseverance!

Second crop of cabbage from original plant. The fist head was removed and eaten and the base left. All plants produced second, smaller heads great for casseroles and slaws.
