On Life and Death

We see them flying aloft upon a background of blue.  Wings beating the air, gliding on updrafts. Closer to earth they nest and feed in upright trees.

To find one lifeless saddens my heart.

Her beauty still intact, I am drawn to her  intricacies.

Linear patterns soft to the touch

Colors distinct to her kind
