Keep Your Eyes Down

Autumn walks are often accompanied by ooohs and awwwes generated by its breathless scenery

Landscapes of color and Gaia’s painted ceilings

RED MAPLE

But if you take a moment to cast your eyes downward

OAK LEAVES

you will see nature’s quilt blanketing the earth

MUSHROOMS AND OAK LEAVES
RED MAPLE LEAVES

Or pieces caught in time

CAPTURED OAK LEAVES
LICHEN – composite organisms consisting of a symbiotic relationship between a fungus and a photosynthetic partner usually a green algae or cyanobacterium

  1. So much to see when wandering around…many forget to just look down. Some of the behavior is driven by the hectic pace so many are consumed with…..You captured some great shots of what can be “seen” if we just slow down! Thanks for sharing!
