Wildflower Walk

Whether visiting or living in Pennsylvania, a trip to one of its many state parks offers visitors a plethora of activities. History, hiking or photographic opportunities are just a few of the activities available at Jacobsburg State Park.

Located  north of the Lehigh Valley’s in eastern Pennsylvania Jacobsburg is known for its history of gun production.

“The famous Henry Rifle was once made here. The Jacobsburg National Historic District lies almost entirely within the center property and gives visitors insight into a colonial gun manufactory.”  From:  www.dcnr.state.pa.us/stateparks/findapark/jacobsburg/index.htm

But visit the park during the spring months and wildflowers reign supreme.

  1. I find the whole concept of “invasive” a nebulous one. Over the years I’ve read some interesting article defending different opinions on the matter. Ultimately, and in this instance, I come down to the side that . . . them be pretty flowers. Nicely captured, as well.

  2. Isn’t rocket edible? They should tell everyone to pick it and eat it! I have never seen Claytonia before. Your photo shows off the beautiful pink stamens perfectly… now they look edible!
