Of Unicorns and Magnolias

Predictions, listen to the weather report in the evening, wake to an entirely different day. Seasons, expecting snow in winter, wake to sunshine and flowers.  Somewhere in between we take the time stop and experience all that surrounds us.

In Bethlehem Pennsylvania, a city nestled on the banks of the Lehigh river spring beauty abounds.

At the city’s library,  magnolia trees explode into bloom.

On a recent afternoon, gray was the predominant color of the sky  and pink the predominant color of the landscape.

Hidden among the trees a fountain waiting to be filled.

Truly a magical day! Enjoy . . .

  1. Our tulip magnolias peaked about three weeks ago. They are such a graceful and gorgeous harbinger of spring. Your photos are stunning. You’ve captured all the nuances of pink that the flowers give us.
