A Harvest Walk

September – the month of the Vine Moon, a time to begin the harvest. What was planted in the spring has bloomed and bore fruit. Gardens are being cleared and the earth is encouraged to rest.

The gardens at Valley View are beginning to reveal their autumn splendor.

Squash, pumpkins and gourds have matured on the vine and now adorn both table and hearth.

Neighbors and friends are greeted by the quintessential scarecrow.

Pumpkins appear in the most unusual places.

Even the peppers show off their autumn colors.

Humid, sultry nights are replaced by cool, crisp star filled skies.   All creatures are getting ready for what is yet to come. . .

ENJOY. . .
