After the Rains

First came Irene and then came Lee, fortunately having moved to higher ground, flooding was not an issue for the garden.

 

But heavy rain still took its toll on tall plants.

Others seemed to burst into bloom with the deluge released upon the land.

The sun brought out insects by the thousands.  Honey bees flocked to the sedum taking its pollen back to the hive.  

In local corn fields birds perched on still standing corn stalks perusing the fields for seed bearing plants.

The explosion of life after a storm is a testimony to our mother, the Earth!
