A History of the Garden

So often we see where we are but forget where we’ve come from.

There are only vague memories of what the landscape looked like before rocks were put into place and shrubs were planted.

What might have been considered weeds are now an integral part of the garden design.

Sumac was allowed to grow to provide color in the autumn and food for the bluebirds and mocking birds in the winter.

Unfortunately I did not document the grow of all areas of the garden.  I did however find an assortment of photographs to create a then and now chronicle. Step back with me and see what once was and what now is.  ENJOY . . . (Roll over pictures to see the year)

  1. Wow. I was there for the entire process & the memory of ‘what was’ now seems so easily replaced with ‘what is’!

  2. It’s always so cool to see the way your visions come together after the plants are established around your hardscaping. You are an amazing little lady!
