It began Saturday. It felt almost tropical for a Northeastern Pennsylvania rain. The air was warm and working outside felt invigorating despite the water dripping from every leaf and petal.
By Sunday seeds became seedlings and by Monday there were explosions of life everywhere in the garden.
The underlying web that unites all life on land began to push through the damp earth.
Within days the continuing rain broke down the fungus and returned it to the soil to feed the ever-growing web.
Energy is never created or destroyed. The cycle of life goes on.
