A Photographic Garden Walk

I often search the web, browse past issues of gardening magazines or page through garden books to find that “inspirational photo”  which motivates me to leave the sanctuary of my home and begin tearing up the grass!

I carefully look at colors, shapes and textures as I try to imagine where I might recreate the image in my own mid-atlantic garden.Since its humble beginnings in 2005, the garden has grown and “birthed” many a new plant.

I may provide the foundation, but Gaia provides the life.

So I invite you to stroll through my mid-atlantic garden.  Perhaps you too will find an inspiring juxtaposition of color, shape and texture.

The Gaia hypothesis has been called geophysiology or Earth System Science, which takes into account the interactions between biota, the oceans, the geosphere, and the atmosphere.  The Earth System behaves as a single, self-regulating system with physical, chemical, biological, and human component.
