The Four Season Garden

Living in Eastern Pennsylvania hardcore gardeners  design their gardens to reflect the best of every season.  If we didn’t, for five months of the year we would need to get our gardening fix through garden shows and seed catalogs.

That being said another snow squall moved through the valley today. So instead of dreaming of green grass and a garden filled with rainbow-colored flowers I enjoyed an early morning walk and returned to six deer crossing the road by my barn. As the snow set in I tried to capture the beauty of the gardens in winter.  I have juxtaposed photos from spring, summer and autumn to share with you the transformative nature of the gardens.  Enjoy!
