Butterfly Wings Open – Shut
They’ve been called Flying Flowers
While in flight or basking in the sun their colors vibrant
Yet with wings closed they blend into the landscape appearing to be nothing more than a leaf in the wind
Eastern Comma www.butterfliesandmoths.org/species/Polygonia-comma
For others their colors are unmistakable
whether at rest or in flight they are indeed Flying Flowers
